The new 60 m² Studio Loft is set on a centuries-old 6 ha estate with château, rare wooden pigeon tower, and a park of exceptional ancient trees. Its impressive exposed roof timbers frame one vast open-plan space combining living, dining, kitchen, and sleeping areas, with a separate bathroom. The loft has its own entrance and a direct internal connection to the Loft-en-Champagne, which sleeps 9–11 guests, allowing both properties to be rented together. The 16th-century château, once home to a branch of Adelbert von Chamisso’s family, is France’s only surviving contemporary link to the (French-)German writer, naturalist, and explorer—born nearby—and his family. Ideal for two adults, one child, and a baby, the loft has twin beds, a 1.80 m child’s bed, a well-equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, TV, and washing machine. Cot available for an extra fee and high chair on request. Guests share the large wooded garden with guests at the Hunting Lodge in one of the other dependencies of the château. It offers a children’s play area with lookout tower, swings, and other equipment. Table tennis is available in a games room in another château outbuilding. Twelve bicycles of all sizes can be hired for an extra fee. Covered parking is available. Stabling is available for up to four horses. For longer stays, two horses can be accommodated in accordance with modern space standards. Extra fees apply. Due to the first-floor location and open staircase, only small pets that can be carried safely upstairs are accepted, at a fee. Enjoy peaceful countryside with deer, wild boar, and other wildlife, at the heart of the historic Great War sites. Shops and restaurants are available in Ste-Menehould, 8 km away. Reims, Épernay, Châlons-en-Champagne, Bar-le-Duc, Nancy, Metz, and Luxembourg, among others, are within day-trip distance. Bed linen and end-of-stay cleaning are optional and available for an extra fee.
